Iraqi police said Thursday that at least seven security forces were killed and 16 others injured Wednesday night in two separate attacks by Islamic State militants. Police said three members of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and two policemen were killed in an attack on Sayed Ghraib area in Dujail district of Salah al-Din province, 50 kilometers north of Baghdad, late Wednesday evening. A source in the internal security forces known as “Al-Asaish” of the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq said that a separate mortar attack targeted Kurdish forces in the village of Kuleh Jui in Klar district of Sulaimaniyah province at midnight, killing two Asayish forces and injuring 14 others. ISIS has not claimed responsibility for either attack.
